Meet the Team: Vanessa Oslund

Hi, I’m Vanessa Oslund and I’m an attorney here at Bergman Oslund Udo Little. I’ve been practicing in the areas of asbestos diseases particularly mesothelioma since 2008, I also represent survivors of childhood sexual abuse, well I was the first person in my family ever to go to law school so all I knew is that I wanted to work for ordinary people. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to do that and to bring justice to folks who often don’t have a voice in this system with asbestos. For example the cancer doesn’t show up for decades and decades and so then you’re going to have to look back to figure out what companies are responsible, who are the witnesses you’re going to have to look at documents that were created many years ago and it’s often the same with childhood sex abuse you have wrongs that were perpetrated many years before and then a lot of times the survivors of this wrongdoing don’t realize just how badly they’ve been affected until years later and they receive that diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder it’s a lot of the same investigatory techniques that we use in in both kinds of cases.
