How the Fee Arrangement Works
Asbestos cases, like any injury case, are usually prosecuted on a contingent fee basis. And under the Washington and Oregon Codes of Professional Responsibility, the terms must be spelled out in a written agreement. We will be transparent with you at all times about your client’s case and how the fees will be shared between our firms.
The ethics code requires that attorney fees are apportioned based on the workload of the participating attorneys. Depending on the complexity of your client’s asbestos case and your available time and experience, you may wish to be more or less actively involved in the case.
