Occupations at Risk for Asbestos Exposure
Many different types of American workers suffered exposure to asbestos in some form as part of their daily jobs. Unfortunately, many businesses did little or nothing to protect their workers from the hazards of asbestos, while other asbestos companies actively concealed the dangers from their workers.
The following list identifies some of the trades and occupations that are known to have involved exposure to asbestos. If you or a family member worked in one of these occupations, you may have been exposed to asbestos – in some instances, even without knowing it.
